dale earnhardt out fishing shouldnt he be putting more time into his racing?? he isnt exactly at the top of the point standings 1 would think he would be practing racing not fishing. what do you think??

Sometimes the best thing you can do for you job /career is simply get away for a day or two.While most people think being Lil E. has come with huge advantages in his life and you often hear he's popular because his daddy was,I think being the son of the legend has brought much more hardship and scruntiny then if his last name was Smith.He will always be compared to his father instead of his contempararies and thats unreal and unfair.Been a rough couple months for Jr. I'm not suprised he went fishing I'm more suprised he came back.

I don't know what you do for a living but I am a construction super. I go fishing and hunting to relax. Surely you take some time off from your job. If you don't, we need to call you a workaholic. If you think that these guys should be spending 24x7 on racing, you try that with your job and see how fast you get the BURNOUT.

Even God took a day off. Junior has been racing hard and he deserves a day or two of fishing.
Plus, unlike us normal 9-5er's Drivers have apperences they have to go to, sponsor events, track tests, press obligations, meet and greets, and that is in addition to racing. On a typical race weekend these guys can pull down a 16-20 hour day.

you can only test so many times a season, plus are you the best at your job if not do you work 7 days a week or do you take a day off to see what dale Jr is doing

I heard that Jr is on this all fish diet. And it has to be fresh....no store bought stuff. Because one time when he was hanging out with Tony Stweart, they went to Skippers and Jr got sick from eating their fish and chips plate....minus the chips.
So I think he's probably just hungry.......There, now I think my answer might just be as stupid as this question.

Every driver takes a little time for "mental" preparedness.Be it fishing or playing golf.This little solitude is a break to get ready for the next event.So it does play a part in getting ready.

The drivers deserve to be able to do whatever they want to do with their free time; just like you or me. Plus, I don't really think he's as worried about his future as he was.

At least he's not out buying crack and soliciting prostitutes. There's nothing wrong with taking a day to do something besides work. Everyone does it once in a while; it's called "taking a vacation day".
