How long, time or distance?

There are thousands and thousands of commuters that use the highways and use trains and 85 percent of those polled said they'd use the high-speed ferry.

Weekly fees on the ferry would be between $22-$67 more expensive than a train ride of the same distance. Commute time is even for trains and ferries traveling from Stamford to New York.

Bridgeport to New York train would be seven minutes faster than the ferry, according to data provided by Riccio, Bridgeport Port Authority [BPA] Executive Director.

I commuted for a year from Stamford to Grand Central Station. It takes 45 minutes to get there on the Metro-North express train. Usually stopping only at Harlem 125th Street before Grand Central. It can take up to 67 minutes but if you commute you will be taking the express.

$264 for a monthly or $12.25 each way at peak hours.
Parking at the train station in Stamford can be difficult and expensive.

And by the way. Metro-North is a well run company. They have an incredible on-time percentage. The cars are a bit old but are in the process of building new ones and have renovated cars coming into service until the new cars are built.

Using the city center for both starting point and end, it is about 1 hour driving, without traffic.

maybe 90 minutes
but go to MetroNorth. com and pull some train timetables.
It can be awful in the winter. MetroNorth is not a well run railroad
