Good question. Going with the fairy tale, I can't think of anyone more convinced of the existence of god than the one he banished to hell.

No. It's by "grace" through "faith". Satan and all devils, believe in God, in other words they know he exists. I "believed" in the existance of God for years before I put my faith in Jesus, just as a person can believe in the existence of a parachute as a plane is about to crash. If I refuse to put on the parachute though, I will surely die in the crash. It's when you repent (turn) from your old life and sins and put your faith in Jesus, that He comes into your life and saves you. The devils are fallen angels who knew God, and yet they chose to worship His creation (Satan) over Him. They can not and will not be saved.

God doesn't exist. So how would Satan ever be "saved"? Faith alone definently doesn't save. It takes hard work to become a god and join the ranks of Hell.

He knows God and Jesus exist, but he does NOT accept their sovereign power.
Satan thinks he still has a chance, and even at the end will still not accept God's sovereignty over him.

There's the rub. Unfortunately, a lot of people who are Christians are going to run into the same problem. When they meet Christ, they are going to realize that they never realized this fact. I believe these Christians are still "saved" (i.e. spend eternity in heaven) but the "judgement" they will feel is intense sorrow and the knowledge of a wasted earthly life.....
If Christians REALLY believed that God is who he says he is, and has ALL power, they would stop acting like it's up to "them" to "Save" people and "put people in their place" and tell them they're going to hell (as if they had any say in the matter). Instead they would spend there time here loving people and praying for them and having compassion (not scorn) for those who don't yet believe.

Satan can't have "faith." Satan, by definition, knows for sure there is a God, he can never have even the slightest doubt. Knowing there is a God, and having Faith are two different things. Faith demands that you concede the possiblity that you are wrong, but you believe anyway. Satan couldn't possibly do that, he's had intimate experiences that have never been in doubt in his life (existence?)

Are you talking about yourself? That's what it says under your Avatar, anyway. But I see what you're getting at, since "the devils also believe, and tremble" (James 2:19). The devils don't have the Holy Spirit working inside their hearts as Christians do. That involves a calling, and justification, and sanctification, and glorification, that they do not get the privilege of.

"Faith" alone DOES NOT save.

(James 2:17-18) Thus, too, faith, if it does not have works, is dead in itself. 18 Nevertheless, a certain one will say: “You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith apart from the works, and I shall show you my faith by my works.”

(James 2:21-22) Was not Abraham our father declared righteous by works after he had offered up Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 You behold that [his] faith worked along with his works and by [his] works [his] faith was perfected,

(James 2:26) Indeed, as the body without spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.

Satan has 'sinned against the spirit'

for him there is no saving.

(Revelation 20:10) And the Devil who was misleading them was hurled into the lake of fire and sulphur, where both the wild beast and the false prophet [already were]; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

It is not by faith alone we are saved. It is by accepting Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior.

Why, are you ready to accept him Satan??

Faith alone does not save, You have to also have works to show your faith, & satan works is evil.

No, because Satan does not have faith, he already knows. He needs no "faith", he's seen God face to face.

Satan believes in Jesus, he just thinks he's still going to win. No, Satan will not be saved. He already made his choice.
