What colors and fabrics ANY SUGGESTION for chocolate brown leather couch.?

I think sage or olive HELP. Any idea. I will have a white room with that sofa and seat. I have looked on-line but come up with nothing for working with this color.

I think a light green, rather than sage, would be better...and NO, in spite of what someone else on here says, Chocolate brown is NOT a neutral, and DOES NOT go with everything! it is a warm color so would look best with greens, corals, yellows, all the 'warm' colors....you of course can have blue with brown, but gads, how unsettling, every time you look at it!! it would clash and drive you crazy all day long........:) So stick with the warm colors and forget the cool colors!!!! PLEASE!!

Chocolate Brown is a neutral, so basically anything is up for grabs. If you're looking for a bold statement, red would be a nice mix with the white and brown. For something more soothing or hip, try robin's egg/baby blue and a non-neon shade of lime green. You may try looking at say, the bedding at www.target.com. They have a lot of shades of brown with other colors that might give you an idea of what you'd like.

Chocolate brown is a fabulous color! I personally love it best with a baby blue OR green (sage, lime, even a soft pale green). A beige color and white mixed in with whatever color you choose would open you up to alot of choices for decorations! :) Maybe each color in throws on the couch, then tie it all in with the various colors around your room. Chocolate brown is similar 2 black in that U can put any color with it & it will look good. I'm a "blue" person, so I would pick a pretty turquoise, or another shade of blue. If U R a "green" person, sage or olive is fine - it wouldn't be my personal choice. U could also go with reds, oranges, yellows, lavenders,etc. It's your world - just pick a color!

you could go with strips of brown and white. or you could get some hersey's candys and add them to the room. While if you add a green or olive carpet to the floor or paint the floor that color then you would have 3 colors to work with to recreate the room. If you have a painting that has the colors in it of the cholate brown (trees) white (clouds) and olive geen (grass) then you could pull other colors from the painting useing the painting as your main theme. That way more colors can be added to the room to create what you would like. I hope that helps.

I have chocolate brown microsuede furniture. Earth tones work great. I also actually like to mix in some really dark reds (burgandy, maroon, brick reds). It really does look nice mixed in with some basic earth tones - tans, beiges, sage or seafoam greens. My walls are like a chocolate milk color and it kind of pulls it all together. Having white walls, you may want to stick with the basic earth tones.

i think olive green as well as a salmon to rust..
do one accent wall...a color a Lil lighter than a rust.. behind the couch...then go 4 it with olive or sage accents
don't be afraid of color.....they make all those different color paints for a reason even a yellowish gold could go...let your imagination run wild...brown is a great starting color

stay with a cold colour scheme. White and chocolate brown go together really well. Cream (or beige, dirty white) even better.
So my suggestion is, combine the green (olive or sage green) additions, like cushions and rugs with some white or beige ones.

I was gonna say some type of green. I think sage would be really nice. Or a softer lighter green would do the trick to maybe lighten it up. But definately green! Good luck!

Chocolate brown is a great almost neutral so pretty much anything you want to do will work. Your greens will do but so will rich red accents, blues, etc. Have some fun.
