When I clicked on the question I was already thinking "tell him to avoid Dunlop" but you've found out already! Michelin Pilot Sport are cracking tyres with bags of grip - you'll really tell the difference. I've got a Nissan 350Z with Bridgestone tyres (not sure about the model but it says "Potenza") and they're not short on grip either but, to be honest, you gets what you pays for and I think you'll find that Michelin Pilot Sport are probably the dearest but quite possibly the best.

Stephen,
If you go to tirerack.com on the net each and every tire they sell has a comprehensive evaluation done on them to answer your question.
For instance: If you look up any Michelin or Yokohama (or other) specific tire you will see the word (survey) at the upper portion of the screen. There are several rows of criteria you'd be interested in.
I always look at wet, dry, light and deep snow traction. Other brackets compare road noise, expected tire life, comfort, steering response and others.
I've purchased tires from them for 24 yrs. with very satisfactory results.
Good luck which ever your choice may be.
