Because its their only way of communicating with their mother and each baby has a different cry for different things. Every mother soon learns which cry is for what. One cry is when they are sick, then there's a cry for just being difficult, then there's a cry for when they have hurt themselves and so on. They are very smart and soon learn how to wrap their mother around their little finger. Cheers and good luck.

It depends on the age of the baby...if the baby is real young than they could be collic that causes them to cry pretty much all the time for several months ,....you will want to pull your hair out...
If it is a brand new baby...it is the only way to communicate with you and they are want to make sure there is someone there to take care of them....Good Luck!

Not all babies cry or always cry;
However Crying is their only way to communicate.
If it is continual there could be something wrong.
Most common ear infection or upset tummy.
Talking calmly or playing with them can help too.
If it is bothering you, the smart thing to do is remove yourself from the baby and find someone that is able to love and take care of the baby.
The baby could also be feeling your stress.
best wishes

Babies only cry when something is wrong. Hungry, wet, tired, gas or sick... My son rarely cried for more than 2 minutes at a time, because I would check those things, fix it... and he would be happy again.
Crying is their only way to tell you something is wrong.

Babies cry to let us know that they need something. Such as food, diaper changed, burped, etc...
It's not lie they can say hey I'm hungry...lol
