hey die hard #3 fan...... LET ME TELL YOU THIS....

jeff gordon does not treat his fans wrong.. i am from west virginia and he is cool.. he loves his fans because he knows that he needs their support.. and he doesnt drive like a show off...

LOOK AT EARNHARDT SR... Jeffy has more wins then him and has been racing longer and hasnt even raced dirty and wrecked everyone everytime he gets a chance. Jeff gordon is a good guy and he is the best and most skilled driver out there right now... name someone you think is better... and people cannot say Little E, because he hasnt even won a championship... he may have more fans but most people started liking him because of his daddy... i think it is cool everyone has their own opinion, but people gives me a thumb down when i answer a question and dont down anyone just because i love jeffy... but oh well....

JUST HAVE A DAMN BEER ON SUNDAY AND WATCH JEFF GORDON WIN THE RACE..

and by the way tyger:
take it with a grain of salt.

Let me quote another legend "I am not worried if they boo, I'll worry when they stop booing" - Dale Earnhardt Sr.

You either cheer for a Legend or boo a legend; and to be a Fan of a Legend is to endure the boos and jeers of those Fans of Drivers who are not Legends.

While they keep giving you the thumbs down; don't stop answering from the heart. Your Driver is a Legend and that is something to hold your head up high about.

Why I sometimes get thumbs down and other times up always baffles me.Yesterday while commenting on Jeffs new child I was making fun of his use of the word "awesome" and thanking diaper companies and such the way a driver rattles off his multiple sponsers.Clearly I was making a joke only because the congradulations to Jeff and Ingrid had been addressed the previous day and I wanted to try somehing different.Well you'd think I kicked someones dog, either people have no sense of humor or I'm not very funny, but giving me a rash of thumbs down for the attempt was really the funny part. When I answer a question I try to do so without putting other people opinions and their drivers down.I operate under the theory that my favorite driver is the best ever, but that I could be wrong.

First off Jeff is booed because he came along when Sr was still driving and beat him at his own game. Jeff is not a clean or a dirty driver he does what it takes to win and win alot. Jeff is going to be the best that ever drove a car. He will never get to 200 wins and maybe not 7 cups but when you look at nascar as a whole Jeff has to be looked at as the best and if not no question in the top 3.

Second Jeff is from Cal we all know that and grew up in Indiana we know that but he is a legend now. If Sr had been from Cal or somewhere up North what would we be saying about him. I would guess the same thing everyone says about Jeff. Jeff has never acted in any why unprofessional in his life. Just because he lives high on life does not mean he is any different than you or me. By the way I am also from the great sate of West Virginia. By the way Jeff has a home at Lake Norman NC. That is south to me.

I get thumbs down too, and it's just because I say I think Gordon will win or that I like Gordon. I don't let it bother me though, because if the only reason they have to give me a thumbs down is because I pull for a winner, then I hope I keep getting thumbs down because it means he's still winning. Gordon will go down in history as one of the greatest drivers in NASCAR history whether I get thumbs up or down. So at least I can support him while he kicks butt and breaks records.

I just read LadyL's answer...the article even said that he stated he was TOLD he wouldn't sign. He has bosses too, just like everyone else. The fact that your article stated he apologized and offered to sign for kids defeats the purpose of what you were trying to make a point of. Jeff is a great guy no matter what you say. I don't even know if that is a legitimate article, but it didn't succeed in doing what you thought it would.

People are polarized by who they are fans of. Just think of it as fans of the Yankees versus fans of the Red Sox. They hate each other and each hates what the other thinks. The same applies for NASCAR followers.

Yeah maybe he will win on Sunday, anyone would with win with whatever they are doing that is illegal. They have just not gotten caught yet, come on, how can Hendrick keep winning everything, even my husband who is a Jeffy Poopoo fan is starting to wonder what is going on. It is getting boring....even if it was Joe Gibbs or Jack Roush winning every weekend, I would be saying the same thing, plus Jeffy has to cheat to win when other races are trying to to race clean, like Dale Jr, and Matt! Everyone has had just about enough of it. Plus he does not care about his fans, I have heard so many stories...where Jeffy was rude to fans. One father loved Jeffy Poo there and he took his son to see him, they stood for hours waiting and when Jeff finally came out, he told the boy he doesn't have time to sign his thing he had. SO yeah he cares alright.

Here are a couple stories...
These are entitled .. I USED TO BE A JEFF GORDON FAN...
At this point I'd like to mention something I saw during a pre-race show aired on network television. Not sure which race...perhaps I will update this when I see it again. (I've got it somewhere on tape, but I know I have it!) Going into a break, Jeff Gordon can be seen walking toward the pit area, closely followed by fans wanting autographs. Just before the camera cuts away to a commercial break, Jeff is holding a fan's item (not sure what) that he signed, gets to the gated area and throws the fan's thing on the ground. If I spend $20 on a T-shirt, hat, diecast car, or other item, and I ask the driver to sign it...I don't expect him to throw it to the ground afterward. He should be happy I've asked him to sign it.

Decked out in their rainbow colors, Jeff Gordon's fans stormed the Von Braun Center Friday in hopes of getting an autograph from their favorite NASCAR Winston Cup star at the Team GMAC Race Expo. But many went away upset and disappointed when Gordon announced to a crowd of more than 1,000 fans that he wouldn't be signing autographs. He said he was there only for a 90-minute question-and-answer session. That immediately brought boos from even some of his most die-hard fans. "I've been told that I won't be signing autographs," Gordon said. "Maybe the next time I come here we can set up a autograph session and that's all I will do. I'm sorry that I can't sign the things you brought here today." Fans were then given an opportunity to ask Gordon a question, but the majority of questions were of the same variety - ''Can I have your autograph?'' Gordon tried to smooth things over by offering to sign autographs for anyone less than four feet, six inches tall and younger than 16. But many fans left the event upset, including David Vaughn of Gurley, who was the first person to enter the race expo. "I stayed in line for five hours," Vaughn said. "My wife took off work and we checked my child out of school, but we couldn't get Jeff Gordon's autograph. It's not right and it's not fair. One guy drove all the way from Ohio with a picture of Jeff Gordon and he couldn't get it signed.

So yeah, that is why he is so hated....Sowwy...but, it is just a sport, lighten up....everyone hates someone...unfortunately, I am somone who is a fan of Tony, a wild temper...I will admit he does stuff wrong....but he is a good driver...he does not have to cheat every race, but like I said Oh well....

Yeah OK Matt C. ...HE HE HE!!! :) Funny guy! :) I win!

They can thumb me down all they want. It wont change my avator or my driver. I will still be able to watch my driver win races. Ive never heard of someone saying "My driver didnt win because of too many thumbs down on yahoo Q & A". Its so great to get 10 thumbs down on the "who will win" questions and then your driver brings home the trophy.
