I believe in Heaven and Hell as I am a chrisitan, but for you non believers who do not have any hope, is your only hope of death not existing anymore and going back to the ground of dust from where you came the only belief about death you have and just being another face on the earth at one time and for ever not existing? How scared would you be knowing you are dying at home or hospital thinking like that, would you be so terrified that you would call out to God or just lay there dying not knowing what fate awaits you?

It is called death.EVERYONE goes through it.PERIOD.Because you are terrified of non existence does not make your hoped for heaven any more real.It is a completely ridiculous concept. If you ever stepped back and really thought about it,you would feel foolish and ashamed that a grown person would force themselves to believe in,not just a fairytale with utterly no basis in reality, but a very poor fairy tale, with a backwards concept of love and a really egotistical god character. You will die, accept it and move on.We no longer live in caves. Use your brain.Heaven/hell are about the most stupid ideas ever put forth. THINK!!!!!!!!

Not afraid of death what-so-ever. Why would I be? Death is inevitable and awaits us all. Knowing there is no hell, no heaven, no god, no devil makes death just the final part of life. To me it seems christians are the ones extremely afraid of death. Why else do you create this elaborate afterlife idea? Why else was the idea of a god ever created by man?

Everyone fears death. However, there is no proof of an after-life. Also the notion that a non-believer will call out to god on his/her death bed is not entirely accurate. Just because a small number have does not represent the rest.

Death? Nah, it's inevitable. Why worry or be frightened? I am definitely an atheist, and I have no clue whatsoever as to what death will bring. Just worm food? Afterlife? Ethereal wandering ghostie? Who knows. What I do know is that Christian, Jewish, and Muslim scripture is just as ridiculous as the other myths, like Greek and Roman gods.

Atheists face death all the time, and remain atheists.
I expect that when my brain dies, I will cease to exist -- hope has nothing to do with it.
I wasn't afraid before I was born, and I won't be afraid after I die -- one must exist to experience fear, or anything else for that matter.
Atheism is neither based on fear, nor effected by it.

Why would I call out to someone/thing I did not believe in? I jsut hope that when I die that I have accomplished all I wanted to. Believers are obviously more afraid of death as they need the comfort of fairy tales to face daily life.

I am agnostic , I would be scared for the same reason you would be scared, HUMAN EMOTION. IF there is any God, and if there is any Hell or HEAVEN, I seriously doubt it is the Hell or heaven you think of, and I am sure he would not send his own creation to eternal torture just becasue of a religious belief.

I have seen death, actually more than a few times I have seen it. I do not know that I am afraid to die as much as I am afraid to hurt. As far as the rest of the gibberish... I have seen things in life that make me not care much about being placed in a hole in the ground.

I worry more about the pain and discomfort death brings. Death itself, I am not so worried about. When it is over it is over.
Howerver that does not mean I am in any way eager to die. There are too many things I still like doing.
