OK, I am not askin if I could be pregnant, I hate that when people ask that. I know anytime you have sex its possible....plus Im a mother already. But I would like to know how long before you can tell if your pregnant. Me and my husband we intimate about 4 nights ago....and we had a slip up. I know now obviously is too soon to tell, but how soon? I was due for my monthly cycle the day we had the slip up and still havent started, but Im sure its too soon to tell. How long should I wait to take a test if I dont start? Any tests tell you sooner than usual? Thanks.

O.K. with my daughter I had no symptoms and didn't even think of testing until 2 weeks after I missed my period. With my son I had morning sickness 3 days after our "night" and tested on the first day of my missed period.

Buy a multipack 2 or 3 tests. Take one in the morning. If you don't start your period take one in 5-7 days. If you still don't start wait until 3 weeks after your miss and test again.

Good luck and the EPT early indicator is the most accurate on the market right now and it provides great information in the package that can help you.

Good luck!!!!!!!!!

You can do a home early predication pregnancy test starting on the 10th day after possible conception but it will only be 30% accurate and become more accurate with each passing day. You can also go to you doctors office after just 8 days and they can do a blood test and tell you. However most won't recommend you test till the 14th day because 50% of all pregnacies are only chemical. Your body starts to gear up and produce the hormone that says you are but your not. Also, a fertilized egg can attach from the 5th day to the 11th day. Now I may be wrong on this but I think this leaves the possiblity that your not on day 6 when you are on day 9. It is best to wait if you can because as stessful as it is to wait, it is a really bad feeling if you think you are and your not or vise versa. :) Trust me I am going though IUI treatments, it is only been two months and is a roller coaster of stress. Good luck hon

If you were due to start your period the day you had your slip up it is probably doubtful you are pregnant, unless you were already pregnant when the slip up occurred. You generally ovulate mid cycle, about 14 days before your next period is due. If you are 4 days late there are now pregnancy tests on the market that will tell you if you are pregnant now. If it comes back negative, call your doctor. There are pills they can give you to start your period. Good luck!

the egg is released on day 14 and deterirates to a low quality egg then dies at about day 18 youshouldnt be preggers im sure youre just late. if you worry bout it then the stress will prevent youre cycle. you can tell after 14 days when youre next egg is supposed to be released because the hormone level will be different if there is no kneed for the egg relase so the test will show you then. Good luck hope it all works out the way you want it to. x

Women get all different kinds of signals and codes. Usually, you need to wait about two weeks to know for certain.

After all, the egg can be fertilized, but take up to seven days to implant, and it may never fully implant. You need those certain hormones to trigger the test patch

My wife knew she was pregnant 10 days afterwards, as she claimed her ovaries "burned".

I doubt the fact that you might be pregnant as you did slip up on the day your period was due. However just wait for bout 2wks before testing for pregnancy.

Pregnancy tests can usually accurately predict after one week after intercourse. the recommended period to wait is 7-10 days then test.
