I can listen in to about 3 at once

It's not a habit but it's quite inevitable. Some people on the train/bus talks too loudly that even people in suburbs could probably hear them.

But seriously, when I take a break from listening to music, I'd take the earphones out and look around. It is during this time where I'd listen to personal conversations between people.
