Anyone else feel the similarity between the JonBenet Ramsey case and that of Maddie McCaann?

What is it about these cases that just smack of cover-up?

madgal & dumplingmuffin - if you don't like the question, don't answer it.

I'm asking if people think these cases 'feel' similar. Your answers are irrelevant.

Yes, I know what you mean. Both cases involve very photogenic blonde girls, and in both cases, people feel the parents have behaved bizarrely.

The parents of JonBenet were under suspicion early on firstly because the public couldn't understand why they were so quick to hire an a lawyer, and secondly because the initial police investigation stated that JonBenet's bedroom window had been broken from the inside.

But a later, more expert investigation, conducted by a private eye, found new evidence and the parents were cleared, though of course the loss of their daughter and the subsequent witch hunt by the media ruined their lives.

The only similarities are the fact that the crime scene was tampered with so that any vital clues to the identity of the abductor/killer have been lost. I have read many articles and books on the Ramsay case and I still believe that the killer was the man who confessed to his girlfriend that he had killed the little girl but who took his life shortly after the incident. Due to insufficient evidence and the fact that he was dead, this lead was dropped and they turned the attention to the parents. In the case of the McCanns they have not been implicated in the disappearance at all to my knowledge just neglect on their part for leaving the children alone. Truth is sometimes stranger than fiction and I feel both these cases will never be solved.

Simliarities eh maybe just that they were rich blonde little girls. Jon Benet was found, Maddie still isnt. I guess I dont see much that is similar really. Not yet anyway but as my dad said the other day he believes any info leading to what really happened that night with Jon Benet went to the grave with her mother. Although I am not so sure I believe that 100%. I guess I dont remember alot about it. Not details like if they had a fundraiser and such.

i'm angered with the aid of the hot Boulder County DA's determination to re-open the JonBenet case. during the 1st 40 8, the police did compromise the crime scene and allowed friends and kinfolk to realize this, to boot. Patsy Ramsey is deceased. DNA samples taken have not got here upon a tournament and are nonetheless listed as "an unknown male." the previous Boulder County DA issued a fact exonerating the Ramsey kinfolk interior the crime. She issued an apology too. confident, it would good to come across the killer(s) of JonBenet however the failures of the police potential we will not in any respect be responsive to for confident who killed JonBenet. The re-putting out of her case with the aid of the hot Boulder County DA is a waste of police time and funds as no new evidence has been got here upon nor has the DNA been matched to anybody. Madeleine McCann grow to be abducted from their trip place of residing. inspite of the fact that no physique has been got here upon, many presume she is ineffective. there is not any workable evidence pointing to a suspect thus. If there ever is, than her abductor and/or killer would be prosecuted. "earlier you criticize somebody, walk a mile of their shoes." Your comments with regard to the dad and mom failing to teach sufficient thoughts on the disappearance/dying of their daughters is off the mark. it rather is not mandatory for them to teach anybody how they are coping with their grief. neither is it easy to think of they committed the crimes considering which you're no longer happy with the quantity of grief they have shown. The media has grow to be an intrusive and vulgar addition to our lives. confident, the households asked for help yet that doesn't provide the media or you or anybody the final to persecute them.

What similarities? Beyond the fact that both victims were children?
JonBenet's dead body was found in her parent's house. No one was ever convicted of the crime. But few people actually believe that her parents or brother actually had anything to do with it.

What similarities... that they were both young girls? Can you provide a link or some evidence/ info to back up the statement. Thanks

If you 'feel' they are similiar, then you must have a reason for doing so. I am asking you to elaborate as to why? Or are you saying you have no reasons, you are just saying it for reaction?

They are eerily similar. I doubt though that Jon Benet's case will ever be solved, and I don't think her parents had anything to do with it. Maddie's case however seems so covered up, I don't know why her parents just get it over with and fess up!
