I was wanting to know if anyone knows if a Plan to Achieve Self-Support(PASS) would likely be approved to pursue a BFA in Acting, since it is an artistic career.

At the time you are just taking classes not working so yes you could work for a BFA.

It probably depends on if you can convince your SSI worker that you are serious about an acting career. It may also depend on the rules in your state. It's been my experience that they are not approving things as much as they used to. I hope you get it though. Good luck! :)

I would think so. Try drama classes at your local community college, if the first career does not work for you. Ask the Social Security Admin.

I've never been on SSI or SSDI but with experiences with employment agencies sometimes specializing in disabled persons they tend to discourage such things, partly because there's nothing here to do it with really.

Bravo, don't let your disability stop you from fulfilling your dreams.
