It doesn't sound quite right. Depending on the timing, you could say (while you're actually in the bus):"This is the first time I've taken the bus in Taipei" or "This is the first time for me to take the bus in Taipei". There are other possibilities too.
The reason is, the form "I take" usually refers to a habit and this doesn't sit comfortably in a one-off situation.
If you haven't yet boarded the bus, you could also say: "This is the first time I'll take the bus in Taipei".

This is the first time I will take a bus in Taipei. if it happens in the present.
If youre writing n essay use the first one.
