I think i may have one..and its driving me nuts! I had a mild one around the beginning of the month and my gyno gave me a antibiotic for it. I also had a bacterial infection and she gave me some vaginal gel for that to have that go away. I just got off my period like 2 days ago...and i keep discharging...its not smelly or anything and im not itchy down there. Im sick of this discharge...sometimes its light brown and sometimes real light yellow. What is this.....is this normal or not??

~Antibiotics aren't prescribed for a yeast infection, they are for a bacterial infection. The vaginal cream would be for the yeast. Did you get the two mixed up?
Your period just ended, it could be just winding down. It could also be from the antibiotic. Antibiotics can cause yeast infections too.
I would buy some cream for a yeast infection and if it doesn't clear up, make another appointment with your doctor.~

Please get back in touch with your dr to let him/her know about your symptoms. Sometimes one can have a yeast infection and not have the itching occur.

The light brown colored discharge is just old blood and that can occur at the end of your period. Yellowish discharge is normal in the two weeks before your period as this has to do with ovulation but at other times this can indicate an infection, or be the result of medication such as the birth control pill for those that take it.

The only way to know for sure what is going on is to have your dr re-evaluate the situation.

dischrge is totally normal especially 1 week before your period and 1 week after - if you thinnk about it a women doesnt have much luck - their are 4 weeks in 1 month you bleed for 1 discharge the next wekk, get PMS the week before a period then the 4th week you bleed again - its sounds so great doesnt it? ha! all you can do is manage it by wearing panty liner ( a small thin pad) to stop it from going on your underwear and a vaginal wash such as "FemFresh" makes refreshed and cleaner. Also drink plenty of water that will help to flush out anything bacterial that causes infections and try using "Ural" from the local supermarket to help flush out un wanted bacteria... Also you would have to eat plenty of yogurt to get the effect it gives for infection you would need 22 tubs times 200g a day .. so try " Inner Health Plus" from a health food store.... good luck
