Plz allow me to be frank.this is the dumbest thing I ever heard.
My daughters eat it up.By the way one is in college 21 and the other is 11.I get in trouble when I forget to say it to my wife.If you have a daughter plz don't forget to compliment her before she starts to believe the mean things other kids might say to her.
By the way my daughters are very high achievers.

Hey Minkus, I think that there is a very distinct difference between pretty and cute, don't you? Hasn't anyone ever told you were pretty? Have you been harmed in some way now that you are grown up? Well, I still think your cute no matter what everyone else says!

Only a feminist would think it is harmful. It is good to praise children and it is okay to praise how they look. It is even okay for them to take pride in how they look. As a child grows, looking at other assets is advised as well but I am sure that Heidi Klum didn't suffer bc someone said she was pretty.

I dont think it harms them... I mean it depends on how u do it u have to keep a balance u shouldnt call them ugly or anything that will bring down their self-esteem neither should u praise them in a way that will make them conceited...u should do it to a level so they feel comfortable and become happy with what they have.

I don't think it will do harm to the girl if she really is pretty and you tell her so. It doesn't mean she'll grow up vain or something thinking she is pretty. You tell her her prettiness only comes with a beautiful heart. That should do it if you fear she'll get it into her head that she is pretty and all that.

Not at all. When I was little everyone would tell me that I was soo pretty and cute and everything. It really boosted up my confidence cause now I don't doubt my looks.

Those of us who are exceptionally pretty, even beautiful are not at fault. We just have to learn to live with it like the movie stars do. No biggee!

not at all, if anything it builds their confidence. Just be sure to praise their abilities more than looks or you'll have one troubled and shallow little girl when she's older, hope this helps! :)

I wish someone had said it to me! I had no clue I was pretty prior to age 25. All I ever heard was how ugly I was, and my self-esteem really suffered.
