One of my friends from grad school just completed her PharmD. She is entering a PhD program in pharmacoeconomics this year. She also completed a masters degree in public health.
Personally, I think a PharmD is more than sufficient for entering the workforce successfully. Pharm jobs are abundant. But I understand that the pursuit of knowledge is paramount for some folks.
Perhaps you should consdier an accelerated masters program in something useful to society (not just personal gain, like the MBA) such as public health, or a MS in a research-related field like biostatistics, bioinformatics, pharmacogenetics, etc.
If you don't want to work for a big pharm corp., have you considered joining a research lab? What about academia? Hospital consulting?
