I got a computer with a 1 GHz processor.
It has got a 512MB Ram

What is the best FSB speed for it

it is currently running in 100

The speed of the processor is directly related to the speed of the FSB, so if you change the FSB speed, you will automatically change the processor speed. Increasing both of these would obviously make the computer faster, but would also generate a lot more heat. This is a process called overclocking, and until you have done a lot more research into it, I would suggest for the safety of your computer you leave the numbers where they are.

You need to figure out what your multiplier is. Once you have the multiplier, you can figure out the FSB from that and the CPU frequency, all you have to do is divide your CPU frequency by the multiplier.

you will have to check your bios.

you will also find a lot of stuff about your computer that way.

when your computer boots it will say "hit esc, or f1, to enter bios setup"

don't change anything until you know what your doing, but definitely look around
