You can't, the screen is hard wired to a board, and does not use the same signal set as a vga monitor, the built in video card doesn't need to use a "normal" VGA signal, if goes direct to a screen driver board.

The parts would cost as much or more than a new monitor if you could do it, which you can't. You would need a separate power supply for it and the screen is not compatible with your video card output.

STU is correct. I have researched this also. It's cheaper to buy a stand-alone monitor.
The monitor from a laptop is not made the way that you would like to use it and it's too much hassle to make it work.
-take my word for it... it's too much hassle-don't research it.
