The Xmas films are creating a new movie and there are gonna be auditions in my country, in Cyprus, The director of Shrek will be here for the auditions. And I wanted all this time an oppurtunity to become an actor but I thought I would never make it cause here in Cyprus no one from Hollywood will come! And this is mmy oppurtinity! It''s like a dream or something!

So please can you tell me some info of how the system will be in the auditions??? I don't have an agent as here there are NO agents! It's gonna be an animation movie, not a normal movie so I know the system won't be like 'You go there, act something and they contact you'

How will it be?? ANy suggestions of how I can get in?? Help!

Most importantly do not agree to anything until you have read all the fine print and consulted someone (a Union Rep maybe) on the contract. Make sure they are not going to under pay you, etc, etc. That is if you get through the audition in the first place.

Auditions are like job interviews. This is for animation so they'll be wanting to hear what your voice sounds like and what you can do with it.

Making a good audition really comes with experience but there are those that get in and make an impression first time.

Good luck and I hope you are one of those.

The audition process is NOT the same around the world. The way auditions are held in the USA, is not the same as they may be in Cyprus.

Arrive an hour early and talk to the actors that wil be auditioning and ask them what you can expect during the audition.

Good Luck.

No matter how good at acting you are, make sure you you can really emote everything through your voice. A unique and interesting voice is very good. If you can find out anything about the part, it would help. You don't even particularly need to be an actor -- for instance, the voice of Kari (in the Incredibles) was done by one of Pixar's animators. But her voice was so unique and perfect for the part.
