It's a puzzle all right. As you say you have proved the Earth is flat because it is always illuminated, but if you use Google Earth and go in any direction you will come back to where you started.
To satisfy both of the above observations I propose that the Earth is a hollow sphere and we live on the inside. Illumination comes from the centre of the void, but it is impossible to predict the thickness of the surrounding matter, it could be infinite. On the other hand it cound be a uniform thickness with alternative lifeforms living on their side; I wonder if they have Google Earth too?

The notion of a flat Earth is the idea that the inhabited surface of Earth is flat, rather than a curved spherical Earth. This idea has been roundly disproved for many centuries, and the term "flat earther" is sometimes used colloquially to describe those who cling to discredited ideas.
This article focuses primarily on the views about the shape of the earth during the history of Europe, on historical evidence for and against the modern belief that people in Medieval Europe believed that the Earth was flat, on modern believers in a Flat Earth, and on the use of the idea of a Flat Earth in literature and popular culture.

I'm with you on this THE EARTH IS FLAT this Eratosthenes geezer saw that the sun shone down a well at midday and several hundred miles away it didn't. Think about if you put a bottle on the table under the room light. The light shines down into the bottle , now move the bottle to the tables edge and voila the light does not shine down into the bottle thereby proving that the the table is spherical

Going off on a tangent, there is a group out there that states that the earth is flat because numerous lakes that are long do not have any curvature.
Of course, I feel confident that newton and Einstein both proved that the Earth is ovular to a pleasing degree.

Why do we need purpose? Why not just enjoy what life we have, be loving to others, live positively and have fun while we can. The meaning of life is to enjoy, to make the most of what time we have. Simple. So many want to make life extremely complicated by throwing in religious ideas that only serve to confuse. If more people would just be satisfied and be happy with what life has to offer, there would be less trouble in the world. For example, the cat doesn't worry about what to believe, who to worship, pleasing everyone else. She just enjoys the life she has. We should take more of our cues from our pets. Perhaps my way of thinking isn't for everyone. You would say, what about when bad things happen? It's still simple. Learn how to be a better, more compassionate person through the problems life throws at us.

since google earth doesn't let me into the oceans i think it must be about five feet.
and mountains are pure fiction designed to sell flags because everyone wants the same one that's on top of a (supposedly) particular mountain.
the only certainty is the moon which has been proven to be twice the size of earth due to the sun constantly lighting only one side which makes it uninhabitable hence the overpopulation of the far side which was why people had to migrate to the earth.

What you can see as flat surface is just a gnomonic projection, just like the image from an airplane.
