If you're going to record t.v shows, it will. But regular viewing will not.
You need a tuner for that.. you just need some hard drive space for recording. Other than that, it doesnt require any space than those needed for software installation.

I don't really get you question but you can connect your comp to your tv.Or watch movies on comp.
