If you do a ton of work, stay in shape, learn how to fly a plane, repair electronic equipment, and don't sustain any serious injuries, NASA might consider letting you into their astronaut training program, where you'll do lots more work, train for years, and then, maybe, get a chance to go into space if they really think you're ready. If you're lucky, this will be before you're 30 years old.

My point is, it's pretty difficult, but not impossible. NASA is very careful about who they let their multi-billion dollar machines get flown by. You have to be the best of the best.

I would say 18 would be minimum for a tourist.

25-30 seems to be average starting age for a trained astronaught and 45 seems to be the upper limit.

But that's today

In 200 years they'll probably have baby holders available for toddlers.

We are looking for a few good men who will serve the emperor with all of their mind, body, and soul. If you sign up in the imperial stormtrooper army, you will get your chance to go into space, and plus money for college too.
