Rumbling Hearts is good but sad.
Itazura Na Kiss is adorable and goes past just high school into marriage! Very Fast moving.
My Little Monster is also pretty cute lol

Kaichou wa Maid-sama is just the best. It's hilarious and has great romance.
I just finished Say I love you which is a lottt like Kimi ni Todoke.
Amnesia is kind of fantasy but not really? Like... She is moving to different realities where she has a different boyfriend from her life before and she doesn't know which is real.
Lovely Complex is also really funny and cute!
Toradora is also pretty cute :)
Skip Beat is realllly good. It's not in the highschool setting, but more of like... Real world? Trying to be famous? I don't know how I'd classify that.
Vampire Knight is a good romance! Lots of twist. It does involve the supernatural though. Really good though despite it having action. I'm usually really picky about it too!
This is all I can really think of at the moment.. All of them are school life for the most part unless I stated otherwise. <3

Lovely Complex is perfect
The below is my answer to some other question but Im gonna reuse it. These are my fav romances and the ones which are in school/slice of life are 1 (I recommend the manga), 2, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 10 (wouldnt recommend it though). And Nodame Cantabile is in a school (either highschool or college but I think highschool) but the romance picks up very slowly. Its there at the beginning but it progresses really slowly since thats not really the main focus. Thats sort of the same thing as Bakuman but its sort of like the romance is the catalyst for everything which happens.
1.Kimi no Iru Machi (i liked the manga, but there is anime, just havent watched it)
2.Clanad (+Afterstory as well)
3.Lovely Complex (incredible with lots of character development, which i personally need in an anime)
4.Spice and Wolf (good but i thought if it progressed faster it could have been better)
5.Shigatsu wa kimi no uso (sad)
6.Nodame Cantabile (one of my fav anime)
7.Bakuman (one of my fav anime but not for people who are new to manga)
8.Maoyuu Maou Yuusha (funny and i liked the concept)
9.Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai (awesome except it didnt feel like it finished.... waiting for them to finish it off)
10.Nazo no Kanojo X (insanely weird but strangely I had to watch it to see what happened and I liked the music)

There's Kokowa Greenwood (Here's Greenwood). Tenshi ni Narumon has those elements, but it's not just about school and romance. Ranma is about those things, in a really loose way, with martial arts thrown in. Try Revolutionary Girl Utena. It's weird, but really good.

negima! its about a ten-year old wizard teacher from wales teaching at a non-magical japanese all-girl private academy. the anime doesnt have anything bad in it or anything. i let my ten yearold sister watch it, so you know its safe ^__^ the manga: not so much. love hina is also good, but its more of a harem type anime. agtain: no fanservice cept in the manga.
