Allah is the arabic word for God.
It's not the name of the muslim God.
Maybe I am wrong on that but that's what I've been told.
Now if you are asking if we believe in the same God, then I am going to say I hope not. I don't want to believe in the same God as people who fly planes into buildings full of innocent people.
Can you make that claim Osama?

Under no circumstances is Jehovah , the God of the Bible , and Allah , of the Koran , the same .
First of all , the God of the Bible is a God of love and redemption , who sent His Son into the world to die for our sins . Allah tells people to die for him in order to get salvation , but there is no understanding of salvation . Allah was the moon god from Mecca .
That is why Islam has the crescent moon . The flag of Turkey has a crescent moon with a star in it . Well , the crescent moon is because Allah was the moon god , and that is the deal . But we don't serve a moon god . We serve the God of creation , the Creator of everything .
They are not the same . To translate Allah as God is wrong . When you see something in there and it says Allah, you translate it Allah . Don't call it God because it is different . God is Elohim . He is the Creator , the Jehovah God , Yahweh . Yahweh of the Old Testament was the Father who brought forth Jesus into the world .

Yes, unfortunately. If I had to compare in relative terms. Using the two entities in the "Middle Earth" realm. I believe Allah would represent Salehman the Wizard and God would be the White Wizard entity. Froto Baggins would probably agree with me anyway. I fear there still exists yet another evil ring somewhere out there. However, however! In our world there seems to be no shortage of extremist "Orcs" on both sides for sure. That's an obvious dilemma.

Yes, Allah is simply the Arabic word for God. Christian Arabs call God Allah also. Since both religions believe there is only one God, this makes perfect sense. It's ironic that conservatives, who proclaim that so many complicated issues are simple, have instead complicated this very basic and straightforward concept.
Nicholas above has said that perhaps Allah is a different God because he told people to fly planes into buildings, and the Christian God would never do this. However, that's confusing an understanding or concept of God with the existence of God. Most modern Christians do not claim that God instructs them to kill other tribes, but the Jews in the Old Testament did. However, these Christians believe the God who dictated or inspired the Bible is the same entity they worship today.

Allah and God are the same because people only call them through different names. Allah is for the Muslims while God is for the Christians.

It's the same god. The god borrowed from Egypt by the Jews, Amen Ra.
Christians still end their prayers with Amen.
Jewish leaders had also borrowed the wife, daughter and son of Amen Ra. After a time, they became angry that Jews were adoring the wife, daughter and son rather than Amen Ra, or Jehovah. They tried to weed out the 'family' of Jehovah, as was finally accomplished, more or less, by Moses. One of his ten commandments states: Thou shall worship no other god before me". Gee, what other gods would that be?
Abraham visited Saudi Arabia and built a structure there that is still sacred to Muslims to this day. Apparently, some of our military bases were located too close to it, and Al Qaeda attacked us on 9/11 because of it. Yes, the Jewish religion borrowed from the Egyptians, the Muslims borrowed from some older religion there, and Christianity borrowed from some pagan religions around Rome. In fact, Caesar changed Jesus birthday from mid-September to late December because pagans had popular celebrations in December celebrating a good harvest. If Christianity required people to stop having these late December festivals, the religion might not have caught on.
I would know. I'm Caesar.................

Yes they are the same. God, Yahweh and Allah are one and the same. The god of Abraham. Funny how these 3 religions fight the most when they share they same god. Just their doctrines that differ really. Just look at Judaism and Islam, their creeds are almost exactly the same, they even share the same forbidden food! So tell me then, what's the difference between Kosher and Halaal? Hmm? Same thing really.

Same God. The Jews worshipped Him first but didn't recognize the divinity of Jesus, and so Judaism itself split. The last rulers of ancient Rome took the mantle of Christianity and replaced its fading political influence in the west with lasting religious influence.
Islam Is the second child of Judaism, complete with its own prophet and new testament the Koran.
Same God, different prophets.

Not if Allah grants entry to heaven and provides 72 virgins for people like suicide bombers that kill Innocent people and people like the ones that flew the planes into the world trade center.
No true God would condone this type of behavior.

Muslims believe that they, Christians and Jews worship the same God. To Muslims, Islam is merely a continuation from Judaism and Christianity.
However, Muslims reject the idea of the trinity. To Muslims, this means that Christians are worshiping Jesus and therefore worshiping two gods. This is a major sin in Islam to worship another God, which is considered to be unforgivable. Jesus is taught in Islam, but he is only a prophet and not the son of God.
Allah is the Arabic name for God. Just like Gott is the German word for God.
Many Christians reject Islam due to the fact that Muslims don't believe in the trinity and they have another prophet.
There are Christians who don't share this view, but it seems to be the majority of Christians who do.
Edit:
Islam doesn't teach anything about suicide bombings. Suicide is a sin in Islam and so is killing innocent people. Muslims have the right to defend themselves, but aren't allowed to kill other people just out of the blue.
Many people use some examples in the Quran to justify the fact that Muslims are supposed to kill other people. However, they take the verses out of context. The verses are pertaining to war and not during peacetime. Most importantly the verses were talking about the time period in which Islam came about.
Here are some verses from the Quran that Americans will never see:
[Quran 6:151] "...... You shall not kill - GOD has made life sacred - except in the course of justice. These are His commandments to you, that you may understand."
[Quran17:33] "You shall not kill any person - for GOD has made life sacred - except in the course of justice. ....."
[Quran 5:32] "......, we decreed for the Children of Israel that anyone who murders any person who had not committed murder or horrendous crimes, it shall be as if he murdered all the people. And anyone who spares a life, it shall be as if he spared the lives of all the people. .............."
[Quran 2:256] "There shall be no compulsion in religion...".
[Quran 60:8]"GOD does not enjoin you from befriending those who do not fight you because of religion, and do not evict you from your homes. You may befriend them and be equitable towards them. GOD loves the equitable."
[Quran 8:61]"If they resort to peace, so shall you, and put your trust in GOD. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient."
[Quran 4:90]"...... Therefore, if they leave you alone, refrain from fighting you, and offer you peace, then GOD gives you no excuse to fight them."
To the girl below me:
There are differences between kosher and halaal. Sometimes, Muslims must be careful about kosher food.
