Necessary no...if you don't have a problem stepping on people and treating people like chattel, than no you don't have to have any morals or ethics...I see it everyday. My question to you is it really worth all of that?

high moral and ethical values contribute in achieving success but are not essential in this material age.

Some will tell you it is better to not have any - but if you want true success - to be able to have people like and respect you - or more importantly, like and respect yourself, than its much easier to sleep at night if you have them. Its always good to be able to tell yourself "y'know, I AM a good person"

Money can't buy what common decency and fairness will afford you.

No, if you meant material success. But if you define success as being truthful to your values, yes, you need them.

no actually it isn't. it's probably a good thing if you do but it's not necessary. it all depends on what you are going to base your life on and around.
