Is a 1620 really bad????

No. It isn't a stellar performance, but it is above average (average is 1500).

It all depends on what college you want to go to. Some count the scores more then others. Back when I took the SAT's (1997-8) a 1600 was perfect, can't get higher then that. I got a combined score of 600. Math+reading, I don't remember if we had to wright something, if we did it didn't count. So you'd think with a score like that be flipping burgers all my life right. I first went to college to be a pilot. I wanted to keep that more as a hobby so I changed majors and now I 'm an engineer and I bought my first house on my own at 25yrs old. I personally think everyone adds way too much hype to these tests.

lets just say that most colleges will not think a 1620 is good. i got a 1850 and i am retaking the test because my score is not good. you need to take prep classes, study, and retake it. unless you go to a private school or a low requirement college you will get rejected.

No, it's not really bad. It's also not really good, it's a little above average. It really depends though on what kind of schools you're looking at.
But if you're not looking at really difficult ones, it's probably fine.
Either way though, you probably want to retake it because people almost always do better the second time.

my first time i gota 1320 second time i got 1680 i am retaking it with hope that it improves to a 2000 this time i am try Huntington you should try taking a sat prep class
