He's one of my favorite actors regardless.
I always liked the whole "This is a 357 magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and will blow your head clean off ... so ask yourself, do I feel lucky" routine. Great movies!

Loved the 'spaghetti westerns' better than the 'Dirty Harry' movies. The weapon wasn't a .357 Magnum, it was a .44 Magnum. At that time it WAS the most powerful handgun in the world, but there are several now that are more powerful. Favorite Clint Eastwood movie has to be either 'Every Which Way But Loose' or 'Play Misty For Me'.

I prefer the Spaghetti Westerns to the detectives and later cowboy movies.
My favorite Clint Eastwood films are "Kelly's Heroes" and "The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly."

The best Clint Eastwood was when he played Rowdy Yates on Rawhide. We were all in love with and my sister used to kiss the screen when he came on!

I love every Eastwood movie but l love his cowboy movies even more.
I miss the good ol' western movies. They ought to make more of those. And I'm talking about the "You - mess - with - me - I -mess - with - you" type of western. Not the "Cold Mountain" type of crap.

cowboy
good, bad and ugly has best screen play, music, dramatic intensity, scenery, but did it fail miserably in ending.
The scene where he shoots a hang rope to free a dangling man from a distance longer than a football field made me cringe. upset the whole tone of a visual motion picture experience and back in those days it's almost all we had.
