Into movies? 1928 "The Jazz Singer" was the first talkie and it featured music.

Before that movie theaters would have an organist or a piano player performing an accompaning score (fortunately most movies were under an hour). I am not sure who came up with the idea, but it worked.

Prior to "The Jazz Singer" there were shorts and features, like "Don Juan", with synchronized music and effects track.
