when you are at work, finally finished the report you have been working on for hours, and go to print...but, of course, the last one to use the printer has left you only 1 sheet, it gets all jammed up, and it takes you 15 minutes to un-jam the printer, and answer all the lame printer messages?
Boy, that gets me heated!

Yes. Another thing that used to really fry me was that somehow I got the reputation as "the one who knows how to fix the copier". Every time it would get jammed "they" would act all lame like they didn't know what to do and ask me to fix it!

I know the feeling!! I hate it! I'm so paranoid that I think the lights are going to go off before I save it or something. So then when the printer is jammed and starts whining like little kid. "I'm hungry for more paper" it says...So I put the paper in and it cries "you didn't put it in the right way" and throws a temper tantrum! Geez. I just want to kick it!! hehe =D

yeah, me too. It is proper office etiquite to fix those jams (and load paper).
Did ya ever see Office Space (movie) where they smashed the printer out in the desert? I love that scene. When I get PO'ed at the printer, i think of that scene and laugh but it's kind of a hysterical crazy laugh you know. Someday, I too WILL smash our printer ;)

GRRRR! This HAS happened to me. I once worked for a computer firm, and had been working on a spreadsheet for HOURS and the stupid printer was out of toner. And of course, the supply room had no more toner left! Ah, isn't modern technology grand?

Why dont you wait for the next person in line to attend to the printer's need.
He/She will have no other choice but to attend to it, or do the same you do, wait for the next person in line
I've done that before, it work

Close I run the night reports and have to wait for everyone else to finish up and leave before I run them and the computer only seems to malfunction when I have somewhere to be or its really late. That really pisses me off !

i like standing by the printer, it makes me look like i am doing something, especially if it is almost time to go home
