Lets say Israel decided it's land mass was too small

And they want to take over the US

Siunce they are gods people then They represent GOD right

So would you all just pack up and move out ?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Half the world is under the impression they are god's sacred people and the other half seem to think they are all just really bad

Here is somthing I would like to see

Israel is a nation made up of people - Not gods not the devil People who have the same nature as the rest of us capable of the same good and the same bad -
Capable of mistakes big and small
Capable of luck good and bad etc
--------------------------------------------
But if you support them based on the fact the bible says somthing about them - a book written a long time ago full of errors and so on
I guess you'd just grab your bag and say hey Honey we gotta go God's people want our State

There are plenty of black Jews, black Israelis (both Jewish and non-Jewish), and Christian-Israelis; being a black Christian is a non-issue for visiting Israel. As far as what people are fighting over, see River's comments; bigots like him (her?) keep wars continuing in every generation; but hopefully one day, since hatred is taught, it will eventually die out. I hope you made your trip and it was wonderful, or one day will do so.

No. I'd fight them. I am an American patriot, first. I understand that they have their own interests to attend to. That doesn't mean I have to give up supporting the United States' interests.

You are a little confused by what that means.

Israeli's aren't privileged to be "God's people". What that means is that they are the standard by which God will judge mankind. If they fail, then mankind will be judged by that failure. If they stay true to God's laws, then mankind will be judged accordingly. It isn't a special brownie point. It's a burden, one they truly believe they have to bear, including the constant misunderstandings that people have and use to oppress and hurt them with.

No, I'm not religious. Just a student of religion.

Occasionally of religious ignorance.

I support Israel because they are good people. They have made the tiny spec of land that they have, great and productive, in a barren place. They have freedom, democracy, their citizens are in good health and are happy. They stand for the same ideals that America strives for and we are like-minded nations. We will never be at war with them. There are actually more Jews in the United States than in Israel. My support for them has nothing to do with Bible (or Torah) rhetoric.

Read the history about the Middle East and you'll see that Israel's claim to the land is based on a lot more than just the Bible.

Silly, silly question.

They haven't exactly shown themselves to be warmongering imperialists. Same as us.

But yes, I'd fight if the eeevil Jooooos wanted to take over America. Or anybody else, for that matter.

Allah never mentions Jerusalem in the qua ran, only Mecca and Medina.

So why are some of the Muslim extremists claiming that Jerusalem is sacred to them? When it is clearly Mecca and Medina.
