she never has had a problem with this before other than while she was pregnant.

ouch! when going into labor imagine how that will feel pushing and hemorrhoids not a good combo maybe the doctor will put some cream on them so when u push it will feel ok just stick in there ur baby will be here in a couple of days for now prune juice to keep ur bowels loose so u don't have to push and be constipated which makes those hemorrhoids worse warm the juice before drinking better results good luck and congrats

Hemorrhoids usually develop during later stage of pregnancy when the foetus is already bigger, so your wife probably has it for some time. Hemorrhoids don't develop from one day to the other. It takes some time before you start to feel it. If she had hemorrhoids before she might not have cured it well and they just re-appeared.

I have hemorrhoids now at 26 weeks.
I doubt they would be a pregnancy sign in the first trimester ,the baby is the size of a pea and wouldn't be causing any extra pressure on her rectum.
People in general get hemorrhoids for no reason

I first got them when my son was born two years ago and they had eventually healed, but I'm 37 weeks now and they have been back for about a month, it can happen because of all the extra pressure and blood like you said, I've been told not to lie on my back for long periods of time because the pressure from the baby would be squashing blood vessels and can contribute.

i have had that problem on and off since my first baby was born. Now I'm 17 weeks pregnant with number 3 and I have them again. I think you can have them anytime you strain from bowel movements. (constipation) If she is late then she should take a pregnancy test. Good Luck!

It's usually later in pregnancy when there is more pressure on the lower parts because of the weight of the baby, or as the other person mentioned, after delivery.

It could be just be they r inflamated during the process of her cycle. I had the problem only during pregnancy at first. Yrs down the line evry now and then they act up. Around that time of the month.

I only had them after delivery, because of strain from pushing. I don't know how early they can develop.
