I have a Bachelor's in Social Work, I am good at science, I love writing, research and medical/health issues. I like counseling enough, but I am really into something medically related. I could also see being in a leadership position. I have worked as a care manager and discharge planner for 6 years...Can't decide on the best graduate degree to get..public health, nursing, etc...what do you all think? Any advice, counsel would be appreciated!

PS...I have tried thinking it out myself, just looking for some outside opinions based on my snapshot.

Well with your BSW you can do an MSW in a year as an advanced standing student. The MSW is a much more versitile degree. You might want to do a program that has a medical or health concentration. Similarly you might want to do one with a focus on administration. You could also look at a joint MSW/MPH (they are becoming more popular). The real advantage of the of the MSW is the versitility. It allows you to move and change areas of focus more easily than other degrees. DA

It's important to put yourself in front of the mirror and really see what it is about your job that you love/hate, and find something that suits the part you love. For example I'm soon graduating with a BS in EE. I got an internship, and I realized there are parts about being an engineer that are too troublesome, and parts that are equally troublesome but I really enjoy doing. Oh btw, see if you can get some sort of volunteer activity that really lets you assess any possible careers (med school, research).

What about health administration? Most science graduate degrees require a prior bachelor's in the same subject matter, but this is one you could do with your social work bachelor's.

My first thought is Genetic Counseling. There will be a HUGE demand for this service as genetic medical technology evolves (it is doing so very quickly). This field combines science, counseling and medicine. You might be really great at it! It will be in high demand and will probably pay very well too!

i could decide for a pug. they don't seem to be as energetic as a Husky. Huskies pick runs, not walks. they are able to be very damaging while they are able to't get their capability out.... So can pugs, yet they're extra happy with a stable walk and a few fetch top interior the homestead.

You know, it really depends on what exactly you want to do and your own exact interests and skills. Research each program and what each degree gives you and future job prospects. Plan a career path.
