Sorry, you are only allowed to have an orange thingy for a short time. Once it's taken away, you can NEVER get it back. But I can give you a purple thingy for a while.

By orange thingy are you referring to the "Top Contributor" label under your avatar? Or are you seeing things?
If it's the "Top Contributor" label, you need to get a higher percentage of "Best Answers" than you apparently are getting right now. I have the same problem. I can't remember what exactly the percentage is, but obviously we're not meeting it. Sorry. I feel your pain.
