Take a look at http://www.etsy.com It is a site based on all things handmade, to sell and to buy. Surf around the site to get your imagination flowing. My personal favorite - plush animals. This is a site full of treasures and limitless possibilities!

Good Luck and Have fun!

Hi,
Making a craft that is local to your area is a good idea. For example, a sports team, school colors, church groups, kids stuff. Anything that is popular in your local area. Which part of Florida? I've seen several crafty things made from branches of palm trees, drift wood, shells and all our native stuff. Florida stuff is also a great marketing idea to people from other parts of the country and the world. I never relaized how many people look for decorative shell items until I saw what they are buying on auctions sites. Stuff we see everyday on the beach. One original crafty idea I saw recently was a decorative solar lamp. These were made from pieces of fence post cut in 3 different size sections about 18", 12" & 8". They sat in a base made of a square 2x2 wood. Each one was decorated with a different theme with items they purchased at dollar store. There was one solar lamp attached so no electric was necessary. CD's were used to represent water on this decorative light. Example themes are lighthouses, cats, dogs, turtles, ducks, hockey, football, etc., you get the picture. They sold very quickly at a flea market for $35-$50 each. :-) hope this gives you some ideas.

You need to revise your question.. It absolutely depends upon where in the world you are.. At the beach, do beachy things with shells and a hot glue gun and magnets or other beachy designs.. In the mountains,, nature art, sculpture or abstracts.. In the UK vs the US vs India.. things can be not only geographically driven but culturally driven.. We need more to effectively answer you.
Think about where you are and what you can use to base the products off os that is unique about your area or that would be attractive for the season or the culture.

Despite the fact that I go to a super-crafty school, I'm not crafty myself, so no help there...

But as for selling, try www.etsy.com - if I had any crafting skills, I'd probably sell stuff there. :)

Have you tried ceramics? Hand made pottery is very popular, and if you can throw, you can make a lot of product very quickly.
