I think with the killing of popular leader of Baluchistan - Mr. Bughti (not sure about the spelling), equivalent of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman - undisputed leader of Bengalis in those days, the Pakistani Army made its blunder to the proportion of what they did here in Dhaka on 25th March 1971.

Even a few years ago this type of question was unheard of from any Baluchi or its sympathizers. However, the Iranian regime will not help the Baluchis the way India helped the then East Pakistanis.

But let us be realistic here. West Pakistanis lost East Pakistan among many reasons its proximity. The logistics couldn't reach its soldiers fighting here, which wouldn't be the same for Baluchistan. So, no Indian help and easy proximity with Pakistan's other provinces would make a long drawn war.

Therefore, pressurize the leadership of Pakistan to see to it that Baluchis in Baluchistan need not to go for secession Bangladesh style rather remain within Pakistan and live with dignity. Pakistan can emulate the autonomy Indian states are granted and let the four provinces remain intact and a powerful Pakistan that could prosper almost uniformly, as far as practicable.

Happy living!

I feel sorry about the present plight of Baluchis and the history of maltreatment of them for generations. Problem in Pakistan is that there's no democarcy therefore no fear of vote wielding public. U guys are united and therefore should have enormous power but not in Pakistan where Feudal laws are enforced throughout even in Balochistan. The possible yet difficult way would be to kickstart democracy in there. It would be hard and require loads of sacrifices, like giving minorties and women a say.Alternatively you can send facts in letters to Westeran newsapapers and other fora. Meanwhile you should also bring this issue up in whichever discussion or forum you get a chance to do so. Hope you get what you want.
