No WAY, Dirk has proven himself in the post season, yes he has crashed the last 2 seasons but keep in mind that he has had a fairly succesfull playoff career, His win lose ratio in the post season games is 41-41 w-l. T mac while a great player has never made it past the first round. You think dirk should leave coz he couldnt make it in the finals last year what are we going to do if we keep loosing in the first round?
Tmac does not bring the toughness that Dirk lacks so whats the point? We are actually trading down in this scenerio. The Mavs loosing to the Warriors was a fluke. I believe in my heart that if we had played any on, even the spurs in the 1st round we would have made it deep in the playoffs and maybe even brought home the rings. The Mavs problem is heart and chemistry, not talent. We have the most talented team in hte league behind the Suns. I waited 20 years to see these Mavs, since I was 6 and I sure as hell dont want ot go back to the Blackman days.

That'd be a horrible trade for the Mavs. While Dirk isn't the greatest playoff performer, hahah far far from that, he's done a heckuva lot more than T-Mac. Not to mention, the Rockets would be a team to fear then because Dirk w/Yao.

Absolutely Not. I am not even a mavs fan I'm for the spurs. But I am for Texas Teams. Dirk at least took his team to the Finals, T mac can't make it past the first round. Dirk doesn't need to leave Dallas and Mark Cuban won't let go of him.

It would hurt the Mavs alot more than it helps. He plays SG or SF. They have Terry and Stackhouse at SG and Josh Howard at SF. The backup to Dirk is Croshere, thats losing alot fo rebounds and scoring. T-mac also gets injured a lot and doesnt get boards like Dirk

This trade wouldn't benefit either team. Where would the Mavs play T-Mac, at power forward? Houston would lose a guard to complement Yao and Dallas would turn into the Golden State Warriors.

this is stupid for both sides. The Mavs already have good perimiter scorers in Jason Terry and others, and losing someone like Dirk who can score inside and outside would be devastating. Without him, there is no team. For the Rockets, this is dumb for two reasons. First of all, they need T-Mac to sell the tickets and jerseys and fill up the seats. And lastly, Yao thrives off T-Mac. When they are hot, they are the team to beat ( other than the spurs and suns) in the west

Bad, and ill tell you why: In two short years, Dirk has won the MVP 2007, Led his team to the finals: 2006 , His team the last two years has won 127 and lost 37 which is insane. Back to back 60 win seasons. This would be the worst trade in NBA History.

The Mavs would get the better end of the deal because at least you know you're getting someone who can put the team on their back. In too many situations, Dirk has shown that he can't carry the team.

T Mac stands for Terrible Mac. Dirk is a better shooter,
better passer, better rebounder. I like T Mac, but he is
Vince the-ball-hog Carter's cousine. I would say they
are good one on one players but can't play well within
the team concept, mostly because they don't hustle,
and run after loose balls and rebounds, or play good
defense.
I'd keep Dirk his not great on defense either but he
has the hustle factor that makes others around him
play better, now only if he stops choaking.
p.s.
Dirk is 7 feet tale, T Mac is not, size also helps in
playoffs.
