I still havent got the games.
I'm finding good names for my trainer & i'm just wondering if I should be looking for a good name for a rival as well.

Well, if your friend owns the game as well, tell him/her to name his/her rival as your name. In response to them putting your name, you should put their name. It's what most of my friends did...

Mine was an easy choice. Since the girl looks like Shana from Shakugan no Shana, her rival is Alastor (not so much as a rival, but a mentor to her)

Yeah you do your rival is actually your friend. Which is really weird, is pokemon trying to break-up friendships?

Yes. After you type in your name. It'll ask you about your friend's. If you say end with nothing typed in, it'll give you "Tyson". I gave him Tyson, I couldn't think of anything. Psh, whatever. Lawl. You can only give the blonde kid a name. Not Prof. Rowan's Assistant. (Assistant names- Male: Lucas, Female: Dawn)
