Its like they only show happy, good looking, and successful homosexuals or gays whatever you want to call people with this preference......
They avoid all the problems that come along with being that way.....

By the way kids need a mother and a father not two dads or two moms.
One mom or one dad is better off for the kid.

Texas-BOY, huh? It only seems like you're playing into the stereotype that Texas is pretty much made up of homophobes.

First off... I am a lesbian with a son. Me and my partner have been together for 6 years and he is also 6 years old. I would rather have my son brought up in a gay family then being abused and hurt ( now i am not saying that all straight people do this mine didn't) but as long as the "parents" (whom ever it may be male female or of the same sex) are loving and caring and can give them a good home. A MOTHER AND A FATHER IS NOT NEEDED. My son is above average and has lots of friends and cares about others, he is a respectful child and loves everyone.
I know for a fact that if i stayed with the father he and i would not be happy. His father was abusive and a drug addict. My partner and I work for everything we have and deserve the same respect as straight people. No if's and butts about it.

Problems like you homophobes?

You say that kids NEED a mother and a father to be raised right, what proof do you have that two moms/dads can't raise a child as well as household headed by one mom and one dad? I also find the idea that one parent always does better than two parents (The idea that you are asserting) to be rather incredulous.

my guess is that you aren't very gay friendly. But not all gays shown via the media are happy; in fact, many are sad and end up with some major problem. When gays are shown in a positive light, that might show someone that it is ok to be gay. That will not turn someone gay; it might, however, make someone who is gay feel better about themselves. Why is promoting positive images of people bad in the first place?

Gays are human too!The medias are now matured enough that descrimination has no place in this world! It is not the sexual preferences they promote but the humanity and the reality!HOw many in your family and relatives, friends are closet queens or gay ( not vulgar)? I f you don't know, or if you will say zero,You are totally hypocrite! Let us face the fact that being gay is not a big hindrance to make the community more fruitfull and harmony!

What are you talking about? Did you see "queer as folk"? I'm gay and I hated that show for the stereotypes it portrayed. "Will & Grace" showed a guy struggling to find love after a break-up. "Six Feet Under" showed a self-centered closet case who had trouble making commitments to the men who loved him.

And in case you hadn't noticed, most people shown on television have few warts than the average human.

Kid need love, and gender of the parents has shown to be so secondary as to be inconsequential.

Same can be said about Heterosexuality. Coming from you guys, you think it was all rosy to be straight, but it is not. Why not talk about how women are beaten by their husbands, or women who deny their ex-husbands to see their children even though he pays child support, etc.

Also, why do LGBT have to be held to a higher standard. We are people with our own perks and room for growth and development. Quite honestly, the hardest thing about being LGBT, is having to live on this hetero-dominated planet with the majority of straight people doing everything they possibly can to make our Gay lives as un-necessarily miserable as all be.

I'm guessing that it's to show that we are no different than hetero America.

Why not let a kid grow up in a home where there are two loving adults REGARDLESS of their sex?? It's better than letting them founder in foster care.

Bigots like you normally claim it's single parents homes who make kids gay and now you don't? You can't promote sexuality, people have reseacrhed this and found that same-sex parenst are equally good for kids
