how much would be good and how much would be a great score?

Most people consider good to be 600 or above and 700 or above to be great on the standard SAT.

600 puts you in the 80s percentlie-wise and 700 puts you in the 90s percentile-wise for the stnadard tests.

*edit* those numbers are for each subject area test (eg math, reading, and writing seperately). Not combined scores.

Generally SAT Scores that is higher than 1500 is good. But a really good score for top colleges should be above 2000. but don't be too stressed about this since it is only one factor.

A good score is 2020. people will say oh you did pretty good. if you get a 2200, that is a really great score, and people will say "wow you did REALLy good".
In the old system, 1350 is pretty good, but a 1450 is really good. 1500 is just fantastic.

1500 is the average and a good score i think would be around 1800+
