I grew up in the 80's and back than people pretty much had let their kids stay out till dark time (when the lights came on) we would run around the neighbor hood and wreck havoc, but you knew that when the lights came on, it was time to go home. you cant do that anymore!

No, my mom never gave me any type of curfew when I was growing up. The only time she did was when it was New Year's Eve. She wanted me off the road by midnight. She didn't care if I came home or went with a friend, but she wanted to know where we were and have us off the road before the drunks got out. I love my mom. She's my best friend.

My mom said the same thing, If I didn't make it home by then she would walk out the front door and just start yelling my name until I came home or someone called her and told her where I was and that I was being sent home right then.
If I got lost in the grocery store she would do the same thing, just start yelling my name.
Years later, I do the same thing to her when we go out and it totally embarasses her (I'm 27)

OMG! All the way up 'til I was 15. I always a had a grace period, though. As long as I made it when the lights were just turning on and the sun was still on it's way down. But if it got dark.......you did NOT want to get caught up in that!

Well, I grew up in the country, so I had to be home by the time the sun went down. Same thing for the city kids.

Yes! Thank God my gramma lived a block away. If I was late I'd go to her house and have her call my mom and say I'd been there and forgot to call! She was a great lady!
