If you have phone insurance on your cell phone then basically if you cell phone is damage and non working, loss or stolen then you can contact Cingular Wireless and then they will make a claim of what happened in your account and will send you the same used phone you had and a $50.00 fee will be added to your account on the next bill you will receive.

You have to request it when you buy the phone, but maybe you can add it later. However, this does not get you a free phone! They charge $50 on top of all the months you have paid $8.95 (approx.)! You are better off not getting the insurance. If the phone is stolen, etc. try to get a free phone from Cingular. If you have been a long term customer, they might have offers for free phones.

You will have to call Cingular and they will put you in touch with the insurance company (Lock/line) so you can report it stolen. They will send you a replacement phone and bill you $50 for the deductible.

It also depends on what kind of phone you have. Some phones aren't able to be insured. The new IPhone won't be because it's too expensive.

it rather is not properly worth having coverage with Cingular...and right it relatively is the explanation why: a million. $5 a month x 12 = $60 a year 2. $50.00 deductable 3. can basically make 3 claims a year. 4. basically insure very much less costly telephones $one hundred fifty and much less so in one year, except you're making 3 claims, you surely would be greater useful off procuring a sparkling telephone. ($50 + $60 = $a hundred and twenty.00) until they initiate insuring their high priced units, it rather is not properly worth it.

you have to call them and report a lost/stollen phone and they will give you the details!

Make sure you ask how much money because there was an artical on Yahoo like last month saying how some ladys phone got stollen and her monthley bill came out to like 2,000!
