If I remember correctly, part 2 actually stated that the sum of the 3 smaller digits must equal the largest digit. Therefore, the correct answer is 8521. I actually went far out of my way to verify that 8521 is in fact the correct answer. I wrote a PHP program to write all the numbers that satisfy those 3 conditions: 1258 1285 1528 1582 1825 1852 2158 2185 2518 2581 2815 2851 5128 5182 5218 5281 5812 5821 8125 8152 8215 8251 8512 8521 As you can see, 8521 is the highest of these. The CR questions were indeed fairly tricky. The first question I believe was that it was implied that the chimps were using tools to crack open nuts. The one about the factory I believe involved them working together to achieve a common task. i wasn't completely sure. The volume question was as follows: How many boxes with the dimensions 20 cm by 5 cm by 10 cm could fit in a 1m^3 box? To solve this, first convert the dimensions into meters: 0.2m by 0.05m by 0.1m. Next, multiply the dimensions and get: 0.001m^3 Finally, divide 1m^3 by 0.001m^3 and you get the final answer, 1000 boxes.
