Three things:
1) keep practicing. The more you do, the faster your fingers can go.
2) make sure when you pick your fingers up off the fretboard that you don't bring them really high off it before putting them down again.
3) make sure the guitar is the right size for you, and that the action (how far the strings are from the fretboard) isn't too high. A music store can check and adjust this for you.

yaya another guitarist, practice is the best thing to keep you getting faster, find a few Arpeggios and scales to practice and get good at them, also keep finding new songs to play.
mostly just keep practicing (taking lessons is good as most teachers have been through it all before).

Everybody here is giving you good advice.
It seems to me that finger flexibility is also important. You should so stretching exercises to maintain finger flexibility and fludity.
