"Twinkie, Deconstructed" by Steve Ettlinger. The books takes a look at those ingredients in processed foods (e.g., polysorbate 60, artificial colors, etc.) and explains what exactly they are and where they come from (or how they are made). Very interesting read. Following it up with the book "Real Food--What to Eat and Why" by Nina Planck.

"Thus Spoke Zarathustra" by Friedrich Nietzsche. It was a weird book where Nietzsche brings out his idea of the "Übermensch" or overman which he feels is a bridge between man and animal, the idea of eternal recurrence that everything happens over and over again in the course of life and eternity, the "will to power" is fundamental to human nature and he is highly critical of Christianity throughout the entire book. Lots of good quotes, great writing and very thought provoking.

The last book I read was "The Innocent Man" by John Grisham. It was his first nonfiction book. I was very impressed, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Well written and kept me intrigued, didn't want to put the book down.

The Stand - by Stephen King

It was a great book, I would recommend it to anyone who isn't offended by alot of cursing which tends to be Stephen Kings style. It's really long though, around 1100 pages.
