i know if im lucky i can leave early, but what if i stay all day, what go's on?

It completely depends on where you live. Every jurisdiction has different rules. Contact the clerk of the court to find out what the rules are where you live.

If you are not chosen for jury duty and stay all day, nothing happens but you are still under a court order and must follow all directs provided by the judge or the clerk of court. If they say call in every day, call in. If they say show up at 9:30 am be there. They take role call. I just stood jury duty this year. and that is what they did with the other prospective jurors.

I just got my jury duty summons last week. You have to stay all day,if there is no court case,you sit there all day. Bring a book or something to do. It said on mine that cell phones and lap tops are permitted. If we don't get a case,we are then excused from jury duty for the next three years. They will give you your paper to take to work at the end of the day. I'm hoping for a case so I don't have to sit there all day and do nothing.

most jury pools are paid a daily wage. you can stay for 3 or 4 days until a jury is picked. you would get paid for those days/ in texas it is $6 a day

From my days at jury duty, we stayed as long as the clerk of the court say we had too. I don't think you can come and go as you please, but good luck

If you stay all day and they don't choose you, then your free for one year.
