Under certain conditions, fatty people can turn into a candle, where the fat acts as a wick, so that after some hours or days, the body can be completely burnt into ashes except for odd items like feet in unburned shoes, or hands and arms that have dropped off. Then people come in the room and think the body just exploded or burst into flames. But in fact, the person could just have died sitting or lying down, and something started the burning, such as a lit cigarette.

it takes an extremely hot fire to burn a body because your body is mostly water. ever tried to burn a bucket of water? yup, doesnt work so well. water doesnt combust and it takes a very large amount of energy to evaporate water from into its gaseous form (water has a pretty high specific heat). any fire that started in a body would crap out due to the water in your body.

it takes 2 hours at 1000 C to turn a human body into ash, a couple minutes of a spontaneous explosion in your body is not likely :)

Load of rubish. It has been shown that if you have an ignition source, and an aera with poor curculation and a long time you land up with what looks like only the body being burnt due to a candle like effect with fat in the body. the fire smolders so low heat and the surrounding area appears un burnt or slightly burnt.

I don't think that humans can spontaneously combust...but I do accept how they burn after....eg wick effect

I know cows can burn, but thats due to microbial activity in one of their 4 stomachs....something we don't have.

There is a reasonable, logical cause for each of the fires that are attributed to spontaneous human combustion.......humans are pretty superticious and terrible witnesses...or there are no witnesses in these events.

Spontaneous combustion is of folklore. It does not happen. Anyone who would claim it occurs and that its occurrence has been scientifically documented exposes their gullibility to that folklore. They must be challenged to provide their scientific evidence as opposed to anecdotal evidence and stories.
