Yes, I had a cousin commit suicide. He showed no signs. If I only knew.

Yes, and I'll tell you mine. My pregnancy was complicated and during a routine non-stress test, the technician suggested I induce. My ob/gyn was a horrible woman who scared me out of it by saying I could die during childbirth because my iron count was low, so I opted not to. Plus, my husband really wanted to see the Matrix movie that night and looked dismayed if I would have to be induced that night. I felt pressured like I didn't really have a choice, but three days later for her due date, my daughter died inside me just hours before my scheduled induction. My best friend does tarot readings and when I was pregnant with my first daughter she did a reading just the night before I was due that only described her in a limited way. I thought it was strange, because usually she does really long, involved and accurate readings. My daughter was very unsettled during that reading inside me, which my doc later attributed to her "death throes", as the cord was unnaturally long and she was horribly tangled in it, thus being asphyxiated as the cause of death. So, hindsight? I wish I could go back in time--she'd be 4 yrs old now. Oddly enough, my 2nd daughter was born nearly 2 yrs later to the day (1st-5/17/03, 2nd-4/17/05), and with the cord wrapped around her neck, too. Only this time Rhianna was delivered with no problems and is a wonderful and mischievious little girl today!

How tragic!
Well, in answer to your question, nothing like that, but yes, I have had a situation where hindsight was 20/20... forgive me if I don't elaborate.

Yeah
I should have seen it coming,
but it hit me like a freight train.
All I could say was, Get out.
After about a year, I could
look back and see where
I could have stopped it,
before it got so big, that the
pain burned a scar into my
heart like a brand. Doesn't
pay to walk through life,
with your eyes closed.
Live and learn, keep moving
forward, with what you got left.

I too lost a friend recently to suicide. Unfortunately he kept his demons to himself. I'd like to think someone could have done something for him if they knew, but for some people it's like a light switching off that no one can turn back on. It's very sad.

I am sorry to hear that. I have always made it a rule to be there for my friends and family. I wish that some people would be a little nicer around here. I have to go to bed, good night.....

I think we all have at one moment in time & yes we beat ourselves up for not paying closer attention to certain situations. I'm sorry about your friend, my heart goes out to you & his family.
