In the begining I did but now I see that there is someone or a couple of people who seem to enjoy doing so. The thumb's down has basically lost its meaning because of them. Oh well

No on the hockey board I've pissed off so many Ottawa, Buffalo and Detroit fans I get a thumbs down even when I say something positive. It's cool, I have my own hecklers

Nope, everybody has a right to their own opinion. (Even if they're wrong!) Have you ever noticed how a question will get thumbs down the whole way down. Some people just aren't smart enough to push the other button.

No this is what this site is about. Communication, different ideas and ideologies. I would be pissed if everybody agreed with me. What fun is that?
Its like skiing/snowboarding down a hill and getting to the bottom and saying to your friend.. *that was my best run ever* and your friend saying *did you fall?*.
You say no, it only means you could try harder. If you already know how to do it and cant make a mistake why even try?
Opposition makes us who we are and difference of opinion are great. I bring up questions I dont even agree with or give answers I dont even agree with. Its about communcations and the understanding of knowledge and what it can do to open your mind.

I only get upset if the thumbs down is a indication of someone reported me, otherwise I rarely check after I answer and leave.

I usually don't know if I get a thumbs down, cuz I don't go back and look. So in my reality, I never get a thumbs down.
