Rehab is short for rehabilitation. There are many different places and treatment centers that offer rehab for alcoholics, drug addicts and people with OCD BPD and several other problems. Rehab can last from a few days to several months, depending on the problem and willingness of the patient to get better.

Rehab means rehabilitation. In Oldspeak, rehabilitation is what happens when a person takes a vacation, perhaps with a friend along to keep him out of trouble, while his mind and body recover their health from an injury or a sickness.
In Newspeak, rehab is used as a euphemism for confinement and torture, by electric shocks, evil drugs, and other methods, for the purpose of brainwashing and behavior modification.
Not all rehab centers are nasty ones. Some of them (the nicer ones) are rather perfunctory and superficial. The really effective ones, the nasty ones, are those run by the government to deal with political dissidents, certain criminals, and captured enemy soldiers.

Rehab is short for rehabilitation...which is what people have to go through to get 'back to normal'. For some people it's learning to walk or talk again...for others it's helps them get off drugs and helps them stop drinking.
Depending on the context in the song will change what it means.

rehabilitation-or the recover of something from a worsened state. Like Britney Speares going in to REHAB for being a crack addict. or a drunk going into rehab to stop drinking.

A song is a good place to hear such things. That's why we have the blues. Rehab is a conformity state of mind based upon subjective thought encounters imposed by norms. I think we are what we think we are and possibly through the mirror of the eyes that behold us we interpret. I think it is definitely an awareness of yourself. And it's like what is a law and what is sanity is your interpretation and random thought.

rehab means recovering of any person from illness or injury as soon as possible. When its drug rehabilation that means drug prevention & education. remember Britney Spears, Linsday Lohan & Robbie Williams checked themselves into rehab.
