If it was required for something I wanted. Otherwise, trying to be honest, I would never take a vow of celibacy, because I am certain, barring a disability of some kind, I could never keep it.

I almost did it. At one point, I was considering entering a monastery. However, I was already in love with someone (who I'm still with) and didn't want to end my relationship with her. I would consider taking a vow of celibacy to enter the religious life, because it's a noble life of holiness, piety, and service to others, but for no other reason.

God would just have to put it on my heart. I know that obedience is the only way to grow in life, and whatever it takes to get me to be the person I am supposed to be.
I am sure it wouldn't be easy, but I guess nothing that can cause you to grow is.

sex is the strongest drive we have, if you overcome the drive you can do anything in life-its called complete self control & makes you very spiritual. And you will miss all the fun.

I've been celibate for over 4 months so far because of my religous belief. I'm still struggling with chastity though.
